With Madison’s low vacancy rate and shortage of affordable housing, our biggest challenge will be finding housing for those with the greatest needs. However, if 150 landlords were willing to provide 1 unit each, we could house all of Madison’s homeless veterans and veteran families.

We can end veteran homelessness, but not without your help!

Zero Initiative

The Zero Initiative is a national effort designed to help communities end chronic and veteran homelessness. A Zero 2016 Steering Committee has been established to coordinate the efforts of the initiative. This Committee is working to engage current landlords, explore new resources and create a by-name prioritization list to match homeless persons with local housing units.
