CoCBuilds
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) release a Notice of Funding Opportunity called CoCBuilds. The purpose of this NOFO is to provide funding for construction, acquisition or rehabilitation of new Permanent Supportive Housing units. HUD has not released documentation of how much each Continuum of Care (CoC) can apply for.

HUD allows each CoC (locally, known as the HSC) to submit one application for funding. The application can contain multiple agencies, but one must serve as the recipient of the grant and pass through funds to other agencies. The HSC Board of Directors is charged with determining which application is sent to HUD for consideration. Applications are due to HUD on November 21, 2024.

Because the HSC can submit one application, the HSC Board of Directors must create a process to determine which application moves forward. The first step in the process is for agencies/organizations interested in applying to complete this interest form. This will help the HSC Board know how much interest is in the community and if there are any partnerships that can be developed. The interest form must be completed by Wednesday, August 21, 2024. At this step in the process, completion of the interest form does not obligate your agency to move forward with a full application nor does it guarantee that your agency’s application will be the one submitted to HUD.
It is recommended that over the next couple of weeks, you check HUD’s CoCBuilds website to see if additional information is made available. If you are not already subscribed to the SNAPS Competition e-mail list, it is strongly recommended that you do so. This is how HUD will communicate new information or advertise webinars.
