Update:

Housing Navigation Quick Move-in Funds (QMIF) program has reached its funding limit and has spent all the money for the year. As a result, Urban Triage does not have any remaining QMIF funds for security deposits , rent assistance, or arrears for those experiencing homelessness.

Applications that were processed and approved before funds were spent will still be paid. Unfortunately, applications received during September will not be processed at this time. We are not expecting any further funds to be available in the near future.

Housing Navigation Services (HNS) provides services at the following times and locations:

  • Monday: The Beacon Day Shelter, 615 East Washington Ave, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Tuesday: The Beacon Day Shelter, 615 East Washington Ave, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Wednesday: Urban Triage, 2312 South Park Street, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, accepting walk-ins from 10am to 3 pm
Safe Haven, 4006 Nakoosa Trails (every other Wednesday, starting 12/18), 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM

  • Thursday: The Beacon Day Shelter, 615 East Washington Ave, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Friday: Urban Triage, 2312 South Park Street (by appointment only)
    Porchlight Men’s Shelter 2002 Zeier Rd, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

In-person Housing Navigation Services are provided to people experiencing homelessness who are using shelter or living outside and not enrolled in another program who provides navigation services.

Housing Navigation staff focus on the following services:
  • Identify barriers to housing and help develop a progress plan to overcome those barriers.
  • Assist with the application process when looking for housing in the private market.
  • Guide individuals and families with subsidized housing applications and opportunities.
  • Help make connections to transitional housing programs, if needed.
For people who are doubled up (staying with others/not on the lease or self-paying in a hotel), or facing housing insecurity (in housing and need to move to a different apartment), they can access resources available on the Housing Navigation website.
