Porchlight Men's Shelter
The Porchlight men’s shelter is located at 1904 Bartillon Drive and serves male-identifying adults. It is a reservation-based shelter with a waitlist. Enrolled guests must use their assigned bed every night in order to retain it.
To join the shelter waitlist, you must enroll with a Day Shelter or Street Outreach team and complete a shelter interest assessment. See detailed instructions in English and Spanish linked below.
Drop-ins will not be accepted. You must be offered a bed to access the shelter.
To speak with shelter staff, call the shelter line at (608) 416-1446 during operating hours (5:00 PM-8:00AM, daily). For general information during regular business hours, contact Porchlight at (608) 257-2534.
Shelter Hours:

There is no walk-in access. Guests must be offered a bed to access the shelter.

For enrolled guests, intake is from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM every day of the week, including weekends. Enrolled guests are not allowed on property before intake hours.

The shelter closes at 8:00 AM every day of the week, including weekends.
Transportation:

Buses will transport enrolled guests from The Beacon (615 E. Washington Avenue) to the shelter every evening.

Buses will transport guests from the shelter to The Beacon every morning.

The closest Madison Metro Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stop is the A line at Anderson-Wright, about ½ mile from shelter.

Street parking is available for shelter guests during shelter operation hours. Car camping is not permitted.
