Doubled Up Committee

The Doubled Up Committee has been a committee of the Homeless Services Consortium since October 2023. Members started meeting as a workgroup in 2019 because many funding sources prioritize people experiencing homelessness under Categories 1 and 4 of the HUD definition. There was a need to raise awareness and find resources for people experiencing other types of homelessness. Doubled Up is "sharing the housing of other persons due to loss of housing, or economic hardship." This committee also considers the needs of people self-paying in hotels due to lack of other housing resources.
